Never content to rest on popularity that has seen Crystal Cruises on the top Travel and Leisure magazine’s cruise rankings for 19 straight years, Crystal Symphony is getting another rebuild to keep it state-of-the-art. A redesigned fitness center with new Technogym equipment and an outdoor fitness garden for circuit training are features of the $20-milion refit during a dry dock, along with a more open layout for the Crystal Plaza and Cove Bar on Deck 5 and new décor in the Crystal Spa and Bistro Café. Beginner, intermediate and advanced-level exercisers can familiarize themselves with the high-tech amenities via a 25-minute, self-guided ‘Movement Journey,’ complete with warm-up and cool-down phases. The ship’s 360-degree promenade on Deck 7 will continue to offer several open-air fitness options, including exclusive Walk on Water and Nordic Walking programs.
