Getting a leap on the competition for Cuba cruising, MSC Cruises is making Havana its home port for cruises of MSC Opera starting in the winter of 2015. The ship has recently been completely renovated in the line’s Renaissance program and will be offering 16 cruises in the winter of 2015/2016.
Seven-night cruises will include two nights and two and a half days in the Cuban capital as well as ports in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico. The seven-night cruises will be available to MSC Cruises travellers with a combination of packages from Spain, Italy, France and Germany. Cruises from Canada, Brazil and Argentina will include of fly and cruise combinations.
The deployment in Cuba has meant cancellation of MSC Opera’s original winter schedule in the Canary Islands, Madeira and Morocco.
