It’s that time again. We’re asking the readers of The Cruisington Times to nominate their favorite cruise ship restaurants.

What's your favorite restaurant at sea?
Help us celebrate the best cuisine on cruises. Nominate a restaurant and tell us why it's worth the trip

The choices have proliferated this year with a host of new ships offering innovative alternative restaurants. Celebrity chefs are coming on board, intimate rooms offer premium ingredients that are raising the bar on cuisine. But the gourmet treats may also come with cover charges or a la carte pricing.

What restaurant wowed you this year? What’s on the plate is foremost, of course, but the ingredients also include  ambiance and service and maybe a surprise or two.

Let us know what restaurants you think are worth the trip, and why you think so.

The contact form is below. We promise not to share your e-mail address with anyone. But feel free to offer us a taste of your dessert.

  1. Why would cruise ships extol the hiring of a CELEBRITY chef as an attraction. If someone like Justin Bieber came to fix your roof on the house would you hire him or use a professional contractor.Same with chefs, jacques Pepin, wolfgang Puck, any chef de partie from hotels in Paris eg.George Cinq, the Ritz,Che Vendome would shame these celebrity chefs, they probably would not get a job as a commis chef entremetier at these establishments.

    • Hello Barrie:

Thanks for your thought provoking comment. There is a market for celebrity, though. Shows like Jamie Oliver’s have been running for years. Cruise lines believe that having a name chef vet the menus attracts an audience.
