Silversea Making a Dynamic Return to Asia

Silversea reintroducing exotic Asian itineraries --Silversea Cruises

Silversea Cruises is resuming sailing in Asia for the first time since the March 2020 pandemic shutdown, with four ships of the fleet doing cruises in the winter of 2023. Itineraries include Hong Kong, which until recently has only allowed cruises to nowhere by locals, starting in January. Silver Spirit will be doing a Hong Kong round-trip in February.

Silver Spirit, Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper and Silver Muse are all sailing in Asia this winter, from 10 to 20 days, with the 596-guest Silver Muse starting from Singapore in December. There are number of overnight calls and late departures from ports.

”Asia has long constituted an important sailing region for Silversea Cruises and our guests are eager to return. … Our upcoming Asia season represents one of the final pillars in our global return to service,” said Barbara Muckermann, Silversea’s chief commercial officer.

Silver Spirit’s Jan. 19 cruise from Hong Kong sails to Vietnam with calls at Ha Long Bay overnight, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City for two nights, before arriving at Singapore. The 10-day cruise departing round-trip from Hong Kong on Feb. 12, offers an optional mid-voyage land program to Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Silver Spirit will meander through the Philippines before setting course for Vietnam. Over 14 days, passengers will have the opportunity to explore Vigan (Salomague Port), Manila on an overnight call, Romblon Island, Coron (Palawan), Chan May (Hue/Da Nang), Da Nang and Ha Long Bay overnight.

“With central docking so you can start exploring as soon as you disembark and an extended included shore excursion program, we promise this upcoming Asia season to be better than ever,” Silversea claims.
